WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Godby Hearth & Home is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, and facility maintenance functions.

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while leading warehouse staff and maintaining operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both warehouse and facility-related activities.

What’s in it for you?

• This position will pay $20 - $26 per hour, scaling with experience.
• You will work from 9:00am to 6pm Monday through Friday (45 hours per week). There will be some weekends available during the busy season for overtime.

What would you do if hired?

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Monitor workflow and allocate resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and regular audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and shipping errors.
• Maintain warehouse organization and optimize storage utilization.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve warehouse efficiency
• Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates and forklift operators.
• Schedule staff and manage labor requirements to meet operational demands.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Facilities Management

• Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of the warehouse and facility grounds.
• Coordinate routine building inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance activities for warehouse equipment, racking systems, docks, doors, lighting, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and service providers performing facility work.
• Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and safety equipment are maintained and inspected according to regulations.
• Manage facility repair requests and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, warehouse expansions, and facility upgrades.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local safety regulations.
• Oversee waste disposal, recycling programs, and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and batteries receive preventative maintenance and required inspections.

What you will need:

•  5+ years of warehouse experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• This job also requires that you be able to lift 75+ lbs. individually
• Experience managing inventory, shipping/receiving, and warehouse personnel.
• A strong attention to details and solid time management skills to prioritize project deadlines.
• General mechanical aptitude required. This includes using multiple power and hand tools proficiently.
• Experience overseeing facility maintenance or building operations preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• An ability to use critical thinking for resolutions of warehouse
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license – no DUI in background check (insurance requirement).
